Moser Participates in Southern Accents Magazine
and ASID
Sixth Annual Design Contest Ceremony
—Moser Crystal Pyramids Presented
to Winners—
STERLING, VA,
March 15, 2007…Moser has announced that its crystal Pyramids were chosen to be awards
at the Southern Accents and American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Sixth
Annual National Residential Interior Design Contest ceremony. The presentation occurred during “Interiors
2007,” ASID’s national conference, March 15-18 in San Francisco.
“We are proud to team up with
ASID once again to recognize talented interior designers for their beautiful
and functional spaces, and pleased that we could acquire Moser’s exquisite
crystal Pyramids to give as awards,” said Karen Carroll, editor in chief of
Southern Accents. “Moser engraved each Pyramid
with the winning category and the date.”
Maureen
Ellis, marketing director for Moser in the U.S., also
commented, “We’re thrilled to be associated with this prestigious event. A representative from Southern Accents saw
the Pyramids on a visit to our New
York showroom, and inquired into purchasing them for
the occasion. We felt that since Moser
has such a rich design history, it was a good fit.”
Winners were selected in four
categories including living rooms, kitchens, outdoor spaces and bathrooms, and
featured in the January/February issue of Southern Accents. Their styles ranged from contemporary to
neoclassical, California
modern to French Beaux Arts.”
Susan Schuyler Smith of Vero
Beach, Florida was named living room winner; Monica McCoy of Atlanta was both
kitchen and bath winner; and Jim Winer of Atlanta
received the outdoor space award. First
and second runners-up were also highlighted in the issue.
Moser participates in many awards
ceremonies every year including the celebrated annual Karlovy Vary
International Film Festival in the Czech
Republic, an event that
attracts famous personalities from around the world. In 2006, U.S. actor and film director Andy
Garcia received the Moser Crystal Globe award for outstanding artistic
contribution to world cinema. Since its
founding in 1857, Moser has supported artists and designers. Moser still produces designs by Wiener Werkstatte founder Josef Hoffmann, a privilege acquired when
Moser merged with Meyr’s Neffe
glassworks in 1922.
